Filmmaker John Matthew Matthan's 'Sarfarosh' might soon have a sequel. The film that starred Aamir Khan had been one of the most successful and evergreen films from the 90's era. It's a known fact that 'Sarfarosh' played a crucial role in portraying Aamir's potential as an actor.
As per reports in media, the makers are in plans to have a sequel to the film. But this time, Aamir would not be a part of the project. Instead, they want to cast a 'young star' for the second installment of the film.
A report in a popular tabloid quoted a source stating, "The makers are looking for a young star to take over the sequel. The film has a good enough budget and therefore needs a star to back it. A new comer won't back it. A newcomer won't do. Once the actor is locked it will go on floors soon". (sic)
The report also states that this sequel will treat the audience will a different story.
Along with Aamir Khan, 'Sarfarosh' starred Naseeruddin Shah and Sonali Bendre in pivotal roles. The film also had Nawazuddin Siddique doing a cameo.
