Akhil Akkineni's marriage with Shriya has been CANCELLED!

Akhil Akkineni, son of south superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni was supposed to get married to industrialist G V K Reddy's daughter, Shriya Bhupal, this summer.

However, things didn't go as planned, as both the families have called off the marriage. The couple who got engaged in December was all set for the destination wedding in Italy.

A source close to the development was quoted saying, "Messages went out last Saturday to guests to cancel their program. No reason was given. Those who were about to book tickets were advised not to go ahead. Even the tickets booked by both families have been cancelled." (sic)

Reportedly, around 700 guests were expected to attend the wedding ceremony which included 'A-list' personalities from different circles. The source adds, "A lot of preparations were made and everything was in place. Hotels and resorts were booked." (sic)

A guest who was invited to the ceremony reveals, "All was well until last week." (sic)

Professionally, Akhil (22) has worked in few films and will be seen in Vikram Kumar's next, while Shriya (26) is a fashion designer and has done designing for celebs like Kajal Aggarwal, Shriya Saran, Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor.
