Aamir isn't just the reason for 'Dangal's success, Vidhu Vinod Chopra!

Superstar Aamir Khan's recent film 'Dangal' had been a rage on the box office. The film had broken all the previous records with its compelling story and performances. Aamir who had garnered heaps of praises for his work in the film. Mr. Perfection did live to his name-he was reported to be sweating hard in the gym and getting a body transformation to match his character. Thus, all the praises for the actor seem to worth it!

But filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has an another angle to the story. He feels that 'Dangal' would have been a success even without Aamir. According to him, it was the film's story that worked wonders and not Aamir.

Vidhu who was present at the success bash of 'Dangal' spoke to the media about the film. He said, "Aamir Khan is not the king, the story is the king. If 'Dangal' featured Hrithik Roshan instead of Aamir, the film would still become a hit".

He further states that,"The artist has a big role to play. This does not make Aamir small, But I am saying the story is bigger".

Vidhu and Aamir who have worked together in films like PK, 3 Idiots share a good bond of friendship among themselves. Earlier, Vidhu had even appreciated him saying that only an idiot like Aamir can make 'Dangal'. He said that ,"Aamir is a mad man. We call him 'idiot', like you saw in '3 idiots'. So only he can do this. If you aren't that then you can make a lot of money and leave the world but idiots remain forever".
