Pictures from Shah Rukh Khan's TRAGIC Baroda Promotions Stampede

Though Shah Rukh Khan must have had a good intention behind his unique promotional strategy to promote his upcoming film 'Raees' through a train journey but it turned out to be a fateful one for many of his dear fans.

The superstar who boarded his train, August Kranti from Mumbai Central met his fans at every station where the train halted. Everything was going fine and smooth until the train reached Baroda, where a massive crowd had gathered to meet King Khan.

A large number of fans thronged the Vadodara station to see the actor. And in a bid to get a better view, many started banging the windows of the air-conditioned coach. Stones were thrown to grab the actor's attention.

Police used lathis to disperse the crowd, injuring some people on their head and face.

Cricketers Irrfan and Yusuf Pathan were also at the Vadodara station to meet the superstar, adding to the fan frenzy.
