Oh No: We won't get to see Gurmeet's film 'Wajah Tum Ho' this Friday

Wajah Tum Ho makers move release date to Dec 16 due to Demonetization. 

Director Vishal Pandya's first two films Hate Story 2 and 3 were super hits. His upcoming film Wajah Tum Ho in the same genre was slated to be released on Dec 2, 2016 however the makers have today decided to shift the release date to December 16, 2016.

A large section of the potential audience of Gurmeet Choudhary- Sanaa Khan starrer 'Wajah Tum Ho' is based in smaller towns where there is a severe crunch of availability of new currency.

Due to this short term affect of Demonetization, the makers were thus advised by the trade to shift the release to December 16 which also coincidentally has no other Bollywood release. In addition, it gives 15 days more time to people to adjust to the current situation the country is transiting through. 

Sharing about the same, Gurmeet says: "Yes, we took a collective decision om Monday night to postpone the release of 'Wajah Tum Ho' from December 2 to December 16. The main reason is the demonetisation. It has had a crippling effect on the middle-class' buying power. They have no money to see movies at the moment."

Adding to it he said: "We have full faith in our product. We saw the film the other evening and decided we have a winning product on our hands. We will pump up the marketing and promotion for two extra weeks to make the film even more viewer-friendly. By then the Indian middle class's monetary situation would also improve."
