After receiving tremendous aggression from political parties to ban Pakistani actors in India, their survival in B-town has left in a dismay. Many of our B-town celebs gave their views on the the issue. Now, actor Saif Ali Khan has expressed his concern over the controversy.
Saif who was present at the GQ Men of the Year Awards (2016) was asked whether it is favorable to ban the Pakistani artists. He said, "No, I think the actors should be encouraged. The world is open and the film industry is open to the world's talent, specially across borders. But the government has to decide. We are artists, we will talk about love and peace but government must make a decision about law and who's allowed and who isn't". (sic)
Banjo actor Riteish Deshmukh who comes from a political background had also advocated that, "Artists are like soft targets, which is very unfortunate. The concentration is somewhere else and this is not the solution to it. If this was the solution then fair enough, but this is not the solution,". (sic)
