Whose role is Anushka Sharma playing in Sanjay Dutt's biopic?

Ever since Sanjay Dutt walked out of Jail, serving his 42 month sentence in the 1993 blasts in Mumbai, Rajkumar Hirani has been working overtime on the biopic of the actor.

Ranbir Kapoor would be playing the titular character of Dutt in the film. Other pivotal characters are stilll being finalized. Now we here that Anushka Sharma will be seen in the biopic. Whom is she going to play? Is it Manyata Dutt? A source close to the production house told a leading daily, "Anushka is not playing Manyata or even any of Sanjay's love interest. It's a cameo apprearance, she will be seen as a biographer who chronicles Sanjay's life in the film."

The source added that the actor instantly accepted the part when Hirani approached her.
