Aamir Khan does NOT want to play Ranbir's Father onscreen?

Aamir Khan was reported to be roped in to play Sanjay Dutt's father Late Sunil Dutt in the prior's biopic, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. But seem like Mr. Perfectionist is no more considering the project.

A close source to the filmaker revealed, "Aamir had liked Sr Dutt's character sketch in the film and shown interest in playing the role but changed his mind later." Thus the producers have started afresh with the casting of Sr. Dutt. 

As of now only Ranbir Kapoor has been confirmed to play the titular role of the film. There have been reports that Sonam Kapoor would be the negative lead in the film. If that proves to be true, they will share screen space after their debut film, Saawariya which released in 2007.

The film that was originally supposed to go on floors in October this year has been pushed ahead for an early start next year.
