Salman does what no one else did so far

Salman Khan might be strong headed and arrogant at times but deep inside there is surely a kind heart that takes the front seat when it comes to helping anyone. The superstar also has a giving and generous side that is not known to all unless for his near and dear ones.

Recently Salman, who is India's goodwill ambassador for the games, announced that he will be presenting each Indian athlete at the Rio Olympics 2016 with a cheque of Rs 101,000 as a "gesture of appreciation".

He took to his twitter account to share the news with his fans. He posted: "As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs 101,000".

Followed by series of tweets wherein he has shared that the Indian government is very supportive of sports: "The government is very supportive of sports. Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation."

"I admire the work that Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) is doing to shape tmrw's champions. And also companies like Edelweiss, Jio and others who have come forward to support the Olympics", he concluded.
