Confirmed: Student of the Year 2 Cast OUT NOW

For a long time now, report about the cast of the sequel of 'Student of the Year' are making rounds. Many names were being speculated, out of which Tiger Shroff was one.

So to put an end to all the rumors, on the occasionof Independence day today, filmmaker Karan Johar announced the sequel of the 2012 hit film "Student of the year" (SOTY) with actor Tiger Shroff as the male lead.

Karan took to Twitter to confirm the news. He posted: "It's official...Directed by Punit Malhotra 'Student of the Year 2' ('SOTY2') with Tiger Shroff."

On the other hand, Tiger Shroff who had maintained stoic silence till now about he being roped in for SOTY 2, also took to his social media accout to announce the good news and share his excitement with his fans.

Tiger tweeted: "Wound up and charged sir! Yahoo Karan Johar, Punit Malhotra, 'Student of the Year 2'."

"Student of the Year" is a coming-of-age romantic comedy that was directed by Karan Johar and had marked the debut of actors Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The film was a massive hit at the box office. It was loved by many youngsters, mainly for the interesting story line and the posh college life that it portrayed. It had also set a number of fashion trends all across.

Sidharth too expressed his excitement and posted: "Sounds exciting Karan Johar can't wait to watch it best of luck Punit Malhotra and Tiger Shroff."

Meanwhile, Tiger is awaiting the release of his upcoming superhero flick "A Flying Jatt" where he will be seen opposite Jacqueline Fernandes.
