Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu's love story has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. With will-they-wont-they reports making the rounds ever since the couple went public with their relationship, fans and audiences have never been clear on the couple's marital settings and status.
While a source close to the couple had recently revealed to us that the TV-turned-film actor did not want to get married again AT ALL, the newest buzz in fact confirms that the Bengali actress and her beau will tie the knot on April 30th in a typically Bengali wedding that the actress is planning along with a wedding planner. Reports in a leading daily claim that the morning wedding will take place at the actress' Khar residence followed by a reception at St. Regis hotel. However, reports also state that the actor and actress won't take time off after the wedding and will resume work shortly.
So why did the two put off their wedding for so long?
A "friend" revealed to a leading tabloid that Karan wanted to get married a year back when he had actually popped the question. But the actress' father, Hirak Basu, disapproved of the man because of his unstable financial condition and two previously failed marriages.
"So even though Karan was clear, since early 2015, that he wanted to marry Bipasha, her father did not want her to tie the knot with him and even told his mother (Deepa Singh) this.", a close friend was quoted as saying by the daily. Further the friend also said, "Since her father wasn't ready to give them his blessing, the couple moved in together into a plush Khar apartment, much to their parent's dismay. After a year, their parents called it truce and Bipasha will take the pheras with Karan on April 30." (sic)
Earlier this year it was also rumoured that the two got engaged on the actress' birthday, January 7th, but the rumours were denied by the couple. If the reports are now to be believed, the low-key Bengali Bollywood wedding on April 30th will be Karan's 3rd and Bipasha's 1st.
