From Assistant Director to Actor!

In Bollywood people have to work their way up before they taste success. A lot of actors these days learn behind the camera technique before facing the camera.  Interestingly, our B-town's young brigades have something in common.

Varun, Sidharath, Ranbir, all have been ADs for some real big projects before actually becoming actors. Here is list of few of them.

Varun Dhawan: Varun being the son of ace director David Dhawan, started off by assisting Karan Johar for film 'My Name is Khan' before getting launched by Karan Johar in his film 'Student of the Year'.

Vicky Kaushal: Vicky is the son of ace action director Shyam Kaushal. Though he had harbored a short term desire to follow his dad's footsteps, he choose engineering. Then when he realized that 9 - 5 jobs wasn't the thing he wanted to do in life; he did an acting course, did theatre and became assistant director. He worked with Anurag Kashyup in Gangs of Wasseypur. He was critically acclaimed for the performance in Massan and now plays lead in his upcoming film Zubaan.

Harshvardhan Kapoor: Anil Kapoor's son Harshwardhan Kapoor worked as an AD for Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet and now he will be debuting in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Film Mirziyaan.

Arjun Kapoor: Arjun Kapoor made his debut with Ishqzaade. Before taking up acting he assisted film Salaam-e-ishq, etc.

Ranbir Kapoor : Ace Actor Ranbir Kapoor has made a mark in the industry by giving fabulous performances in films like 'Baarfi', 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', etc. Very few know that he assisted worth noting films like Prem Granth and also Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black in year 2005.
