Mumbai, Aug 29 (IANS) Director Priyadarshan, who is busy completing 'Billo Barber' with Shah Rukh Khan and Irrfan Khan, has built a sound studio in Singapore and hopes that it will help Indian ad-filmmakers.
'My children Kalyani and Siddharth study in Singapore. So I already have a home there. The sound studio was done for practical reasons. It will be of tremendous help to Indian ad-makers, who have to go from Singapore to Hong Kong for sound mixing and dubbing. My studio provides them the sound facilities that will save them plenty of time and money,' Priyadarshan told IANS.
The sound studio in Singapore is open to all filmmakers.
'The idea is to not just benefit myself, but the entire Indian entertainment industry,' he maintained.
Priyadarshan is also the first one to sign Darsheel Safary after the success of 'Taare Zameen Par' for a remake of Iranian film 'Children Of Heaven'.
'Percept Picture Company has bought the rights of the Iranian film that will feature Darsheel. I've never done a film which has children as the central characters. So that's a new challenge for me,' he said.
