Bipasha Basu is Gili's new brand ambassador

New Delhi, Aug 8 (IANS) Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, who featured in this year's hit "Race', was Friday appointed as the new brand ambassador of leading jewellery brand Gili.

'Diamonds are a girl's best friend and Gili offers a wide range of diamonds to choose from. I hope this association is amiable and mutually profitable,' Bipasha said in a press statement.

The actress has proved her mettle in films like 'Corporate' and 'Omkara' and will be seen romancing Bollywood's new entrant Ranbir Kapoor in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'.

The brand Gili had earlier been acquired by Gitanjali Group, one of India's largest integrated diamond and jewellery manufacturer and retailer.

Mehul Choksi, Chairman Gitanjali Group and Nakshatra, feels that Bipasha epitomises what Gili stands for.

'In our effort to find the right brand ambassador for Gili - a brand of mass appeal, we have stumbled upon the gorgeous and vivacious actress Bipasha Basu to endorse her alluring personality on its products, which is a rhapsody of the traditional and modern. We are excited about having her on board as the new face for Gili,' said Choksi.
