The Sessions court has given its final verdict on the hit
and run case
Salman Khan, controversies favourite child, was at the sessions court in Mumbai for the final hearing of the 2002 Hit and Run case against him. Fans, family and the media have been waiting in anticipation for the verdict of this case. With an amount of 200 cr. of Bollywood riding on him the industry would be doomed.
After 13 years Justice D.W. Deshpande has finally given his
judgement, that he has been convicted for culpable homicide not amounting to
murder. The sentence period hasn't been announced as yet. Salman can appeal in a
higher court but may have to go into custody as of now. The actor could try to get a bail, but the charges against him are non-bailable offences. The judge said, "Salman was drunk and driving the car himself and not his driver."
Court relies upon judgements in Alistair Pereira case and Nikhil Nanda BMW case of Delhi while convicting Salman.
This judgement has surely disheartened his fans, family and friends.
