Close on the heels of Ragini MMS 2, Balaji's Main Tera Hero
has proved to be a winner in its opening weekend at the domestic box office.
The David Dhawan comedy did Rs. 6.60 cr (net) on Friday and shot up to Rs. 8.03 cr (net) on Saturday. Despite the cricket match, the Sunday number was Rs. 8.10 cr (net).
The weekend total is Rs. 22.73 cr (net).
The strong word of mouth, absence of significant opposition and forthcoming holidays, promise a sustained and robust run for the Varun Dhawan-starrer in the days to come.
The film's satellite rights, music rights and overseas rights were already pre-sold and revenues from these streams are in addition to the domestic theatre earnings.Copyright
