Chennai, Jan 23 (IANS) Director Kasturi Raja, who has many films to his credit, says he still feels like a newcomer in the industry. He is in awe of the young talent in Tamil filmdom currently and wishes to work with them.

Kasturi Raja, father of actor Dhanush and filmmaker Selvaraghavan, is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming Tamil film "Kaasu Panam Dhuttu".

"My sons want me to retire and go on a holiday with my wife. But I don't think it's time yet, I'm still a newcomer. I'm in awe of the young talent in our industry today. I would like to work with them if possible," Kasturi told IANS.

"I may have been discharged off my duties as a father, but not yet as a director," he added.

"Kaasu Panam Dhuttu", which is based on the life of shanty dwellers, features children from the slums.

"These kids in the film don't have to be taught how to act. They have lived in the slums and they can literally live in the characters as well. After extensive research on the lives of slum-dwellers, I picked most of these kids," he added.

The film features Mithran, Suyesha Sawant and Sania in the lead roles.

Raja is known for introducing his son Dhanush through Tamil romantic-drama "Thulluvadho Ilamai". He has also directed films such as "En Rasavin Manasile" and "Dreams".
