Raining Praises For The Lunchbox

The incredible journey of The Lunchbox continues. After wowing audiences here in India, Ritesh Batra's charming directorial debut has now picked up more awards abroad. 

The film, starring Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur in the lead as two lonely people who fall in love, has won Best Feature Film at the prestigious Zagreb Film Festival.

"It is an emotionally engaging, visually stunning arthouse film that communicates with audience all around the world," said a member of the jury. 

The Lunchbox also won Best Feature Film at the inaugural Extravagant Indian Film Festival in Paris. Plus, Ritesh Batra won Best Director at the Saint Jean De Luz Film Festival in France. Now The Lunchbox has also been selected for the prestigious AFI (American Film Institute) Film Festival in LA along with the best in world cinema this year.
