Leh, Sep 15 (IANS) Producer-director Teri C. McLuhan said here that she will have a special screening of her film "The Frontier Gandhi - Badshah Khan, a Torch for Peace" for President Pranab Mukherjee in the capital.

"On Tuesday evening in New Delhi, the President of India has requested a private screening of the film at 6:30 p.m. for all parliamentarians and Congress members and close friends. I am so excited about this," said Teri, who took 22 years to make it.

The film was screened in the country for the first time Saturday at the ongoing Ladakh International Film Festival (LIFF) and received a standing ovation.

"The Frontier Gandhi" narrates the story of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, who emerged as a social reformer in the 1920s with the aim to work for the betterment of his fellow Pashtuns.

Gaffar Khan is also referred to as a Frontier Gandhi for the similarity in his non-violent methods of opposing British rule.
