A major attraction of the second edition of Rajasthan Fashion Week (RFW) 2013 was an offsite show by Jaipur-based designer Rohit Kamra, who showcased his menswear collection at the pool side area of the Fairmont hotel.

From designer Jodhpuri jackets, Nehru collar jackets, perfectly paired with fitted trousers and formal shirts, Rohit's menswear line represented elegance and style.

The formal suits, cuff links studded with precious stones like emeralds and rubies, handmade jeweled buttons, and brooches enhanced the look of the outfits.

The offsite show was held Thursday night, a day before the three-day event officially started.

"I started working on the collection few weeks back. I have used mainly cotton, khadi and linen because of the weather. For some of the creations, I have blended silk with cotton to make it wedding wear. I have used shades like ivory, blue, gold, silver, blue and black," said Rohit.

He added: "I have weavers here who create the fabrics. I have purchased cotton from the weavers who stay in tiny village, Jolan in Rajasthan. They create cotton blankets and I have used that fabric to make trousers."

Rohit said he had fused traditional and contemporary elements keeping in mind the target buyers.

The price range starts from Rs.4,500 and goes on till Rs.1 lakh.
