Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit took to Twitter to congratulate Birju Maharaj for winning a National Award this year.
"Congratulations to Pandit Birju Maharaj-ji for winning the National award. Overjoyed," tweeted Madhuri, who will train under the renowned choreographer for "Dedh Ishqiya".
He had earlier taught the actress, a trained Kathak dancer, steps for the song "Kaahe chhed mohe" from the film "Devdas".
Birju Maharaj won the National Award for best choreography for Kamal Haasan's multilingual spy-thriller "Vishwaroopam".

No time for rangoli, says Vidya
Actress Vidya Balan, who married north Indian Siddharth Roy Kapoor in a mix of Tamil and Punjabi traditions, says she gets no time to put the traditional 'kolam' (rangoli) in her house.
"I am still following all my (southern) traditions. I am busy with my shoots, so I don't get time to put kolam (rangoli), but I get someone to put it."

Flower girl Jiah Khan
Bollywood actress Jiah Khan says she has sweet memories associated with flowers.
The actress was in the capital to launch the first flagship store of floral brand Ferns N Petals (FNP) here Wednesday.
"I have been a dedicated patron of Ferns N Petals and share some really sweet memories close to my heart when it comes to flowers," said the 25-year-old actress.
The unique FNP store is located on Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, and houses the brand's entire catalogue of products with dedicated space for floral arrangements, bouquets, flower designing and gift add-ons.
Jiah said that she hopes "they launch the next such store in Mumbai as well".
