Akriti to present fusion music at Kala Ghoda fest (With Image)

Singer Akriti Kakar, who has made a mark in the Bollywood by singing chart busters like "Marjaani", "Freaky freaky raat" and "Dil vich lagiya ve", will perform at the ongoing Kala Ghoda Art Festival here Sunday. The singer is very excited and will present fusion songs at the event.

"Since the time I have moved to Mumbai, I have realised this is truly the city of my dreams, I have been wanting to perform for the city and give it whatever little I can in lieu of what the city has given me," Akriti, who is from Delhi, said in a statement.

"The Kala Ghoda Festival is truly one such platform that I consider apt enough to be able to do so and reach out to my listeners in more than many avatars of my singing. I shall break away from the regular Bollywood music and fuse all genres together ranging from Sufi to Western on Feb 10. Extremely excited about showing all my facets by playing there with my band amidst the heritage of Mumbai," added the 26-year-old.
