'Sundarapandian' set for Telugu remake

Tamil romantic action-drama "Sundarapandian" will be remade in Telugu by filmmaker Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao.

"The rights of the film for Telugu remake were recently bought and the filmmaker is now in the process of casting a lead hero," a source told IANS.

Directed by Prabhakar, "Sundarapandian" featured actor-filmmaker M. Sasikumar as a romantic hero for the first time, while Lakshmi Menon played his leading lady.

Bhimaneni, known as remake specialist, has successful Telugu remakes "Suryavamsam", "Dongodu" and "Annavaram" to his credit. His recent super hit Telugu remake was "Sudigadu", which was originally made in Tamil as "Tamizh Padam".
