After a five-year hiatus, Amit Kumar, son of legendary singer Kishore Kumar, is back this Durga Puja with a nostalgia-evoking Bengali album titled "Phele Asha Din" ("The Bygone Days").
The album consists of eight new lilting songs sung by Amit, which brings back the flavour of golden era of seventies and eighties of the Bengali music.
"We have tried to reintroduce the music of the bygone era. When we were growing up, Bengali Puja albums were a must. It is like old wine in new bottle," said Amit while launching the album produced by Asha Studio at a Music World store in Kolkata's fashionable Park Street.
A tribute to the musical geniuses like Kishore Kumar, R.D.Burman, Salil Choudhury and others, the compilation should strike a chord with music enthusiasts, feels Kumar.
"It will be a super hit. I am optimistic that people will love it. But I request them to not to buy pirated versions. Please buy the original," requested the singer.
