New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) 'Protect the citizens of this country' was Bollywood's refrain as a suitcase blast outside the Delhi High Court killed 11 people and injured 76 Wednesday.

Many celebrities, like Anupam Kher, Shekhar Kapur and Karan Johar took to social networking site Twitter to share their grief over the 19th terror attack in the capital in the last 15 years and wondered when the madness would stop.

Here's what they had to say:

Anupam Kher: Wake up Mr. Home Minister. Please protect the citizens of this country. Innocent and ordinary lives are equally important.

Shekhar Kapur: Reports coming in on a number of dead at high court blast in Delhi, terrible tragedy, once again terror hits India. India is seen soft targets for terror attacks as political system protects only its own.

Sonam Kapoor: Just heard about the bomb blasts in the high court in Delhi. How sad that terrorism has become rampant in our country. My prayers with the victims. People who spread terror are the scum of the earth.

Karan Johar: Thoughts and prayers for the families and loved ones of the Delhi blast victims.

Shahid Kapoor: Sad sad sad. Unacceptable. terrorists are the worst of all living things. We need to deal with them extremely strongly. A prayer for all those innocent lives lost

Riteish Deshmukh: Prayers for the families and loved ones of the Delhi blast victims - why aren't we running out of patience.

Rannvijay Singh: Another blast??? And this time not a normal public place but at the high court where security is present...or is it? So trains and train stations are out, markets, five-star hotels, high court, pubs like leopold, taxis...where should one go and feel they are safe?

Onir: Another blast in the country. What aim does this achieve by targeting innocent people. Killing in the name of any form of protest is a shame. Maybe one will have to slowly learn to live with the reality that blasts are becoming a part of our daily lives. It's sad.

Pritish Nandy: Those who can do something to stop these terrorist acts wont. Instead they give us sermons every time it happens. All words are reduced to cliches in the face of such meaningless acts of brutality. I do not believe in god, any god. But these are moments when one prays for sanity. And a safer world for the common citizen. The ineptitude of the system beats me. No CCTV cameras at the Delhi high court. Proposal tied up in red tape.

Neil Nitin Mukesh: Heard about the Delhi blast. Hope everyone is okay. Please be safe.

Rahul Bose: Prayers for families of victims.

Raima Sen: Just got to know about the blast in Delhi...anguished and angry at this cruel act.

Genelia D'Souza: Just heard about the Delhi bomb blast, terribly disturbing and sad, thoughts and prayers to innocent victims and their families.

Rhea Kapoor: Grieving for the people of Delhi. Hard to think that a fellow human being can commit such cowardly and despicable acts out of free will.

Minissha Lamba: Government showed great preventative action in stopping Anna Hazare. Why can't these same resources be used for preventative action against terrorism?

Sophie Chaudhary: Heartfelt prayers and condolences to all the victims and families of Delhi blast. If there isn't adequate security at high court, imagine other places.

Tusshar Kapoor: Just heard about the Delhi blasts. Really shocked and sad that such incidents are continuing to happen in India!!!

Vishal Dadlani: Why is humankind so intent on blowing itself up? God bless the victims with strength, and the attackers with realisation and compassion. Also god bless our politicians with the good sense to value our lives. Is it me, or does nothing change, no matter how often we're attacked?
