Shweta Prasad, who won a National Award for her strong performance in 'Makdee', is grooming herself for lead roles.
Dressed in denim capris, a white jacket and white boots, she made heads turn when she arrived here Tuesday for the screening of her Bengali film 'Ekti Nadir Galpo', where she doesn't play a child artiste.
'You can say that perhaps this is my transition from child artiste to main lead actress,' she said.
Directed by Samir Chanda, the film that revolves around Shweta also stars National Award winning actor Mithun Chakraborty in a pivotal role.
Preparing for her Class 10 board exams, Shweta wants to join mainstream cinema and is waiting for the right offer.
