Before her death anniversary, Anil says Sridevi will always be missed

Veteran actress Sridevi's sudden death on February 24 last year left the entire nation in a state of shock and the worst hit was the Kapoor family, specially her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. For the unversed, Sridevi passed away due to accidental drowning in Dubai, where she was attending a family wedding.

Now ahead of her first death anniversary, Boney, Janhvi and Khushi along with Sridevi's brother-in-law Anil Kapoor and his wife Sunita Kapoor, Tamil actor Ajith, English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde and her husband R Balki attended a puja organised for her on February 14, as per Hindu calendar (thithi).

While Boney kept mum, Anil opened up on the occasion and told Mumbai Mirror that Sridevi will always be missed. "She was my brother's wife and my wife's friend as they connected really well. Whenever we met there was always fun, laughter and humour. People like Sri ji are difficult to forget. Her body of work is fabulous and inspiring. Her films are still being seen and pictures still being published everywhere," he added.

Well, we certainly cannot agree more!

Anil and Sridevi have worked in several films together including Mr. India, Lamhe, Laadla, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and Judaai.
