It's evident, Ranveer Singh is certainly a rising star who hopes to reach perfection when it comes to his performance. The star who stunned the audience with his flawless performance, now it seems like he is nailing each and every aspect in his new character in Gully Boy. From acting to rapping, the actor is undoubtly a man of many talents.
But is there anything that Ranveer can't do?
To answer this question, during a media interaction Ranveer summed up his experience and journey of becoming a hero and not an actor. His latest Box-office success 'Simmba' earned him the title of being the Masala entertainer like many of Bollywood biggies.
When asked about the same, Ranveer expressed that his aspiration was always to be a hero and not an actor as he grew up watching heroes like Amitabh and more. He said, "What made me want to join the movies was watching films and wanting to be like the stars of that era. Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar sir, Ajay Devgn sir, the Khans (Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh and Salman Khan), Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik Roshan sir, these are people who have individually and collectively inspired me to be a Hindi film hero. Plans and ideas formed in my head as a child, but I started out by not wanting to be an actor. I always wanted to be a hero, which I am now."
He was extremely elated with the success of Simmba as he got calls from close ones that he received a standing ovation from the audiences at cinemas. "One of my dad's close friends owns a theatre. When he received standees of Simmba, he called to tell us how surreal it was. They have seen me growing up and suddenly there I was on a standee. For me too, the feeling was one of immense joy. This larger-than-life mounting of a Hindi film hero is something I craved for. Going to watch the movie at single screens with the masses is a different high. I am where I dreamed of being. Simmba was my first movie of this scale and mounting."
Isn't it interesting?
