Deepika DECLINED working with Ranveer for THIS SHOCKING REASON

Ranveer Singh is soon going to start shooting of his next film, '83, which is a biopic on Kapil Dev, the man who captained the Indian Cricket Team and is credited for getting the first World Cup for India in the year 1983.

For a long time now, reports and speculations have been rife that Ranveer's real-life wife and actress Deepika Padukone will be playing his reel-life wife in the Kabir Khan directorial.

However, if fresh reports in Deccan Chronicle are to be believed, that Dippy has declined the offer. Reason? She is now a huge brand and the role offered to her has a very limited space in the script.

A close source informed the paper, "'83 is essentially about Kapil Dev which is being played by Ranveer Singh, his wife has very little significance in the story and DP being the huge brand wouldn't take up such a role. "'83 is a boys' films. The focus is on Kapil Dev and his team bringing home the World Cup.

Ranveer plays Kapil Dev. While Deepika playing his wife Romi sounds tempting, it's just not true. Kapil Dev's wife's role will be very limited in this film and Deepika is a huge brand. She wouldn't do any film just because her husband is in it," the source informed the daily.

This surely is going to be a shocker for DeepVeer fans who loved the couple in films like, 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Padmaavat', among others.

Currently, Ranveer is basking in the glory of his recently released film, 'Simmba'.

On the other hand, Deepika will soon begin shooting for her next movie 'Chhapaak'. She is also making her debut in production with this project.
