In Pic: Rakesh Roshan is Up and About after Throat Cancer Surgery

Hrithik Roshan sent his fans into a tizzy two days ago when he shared that his father Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with throat cancer. Director Rakesh Roshan went for surgery yesterday and the fans expected an update.

Rakesh Roshan's brother Rajesh Roshan shared with the media and the fans that he was doing fine and will be discharged soon. But the fans were waiting to see him and well, he obliged.

Last night he shared a picture of himself with his family around him. He was standing with a big victory flashing on his face and well, seemed all hail and hearty. He said to a IANS in an interview,"I am feeling all right, thank you. Surgery is done and all is okay. God is great. I am going to be back home on Friday or Saturday,"

Well, this called for a celebration and Hrithik didn't leave a minute pass by. He took to Twitter to share the happy celebratory picture of his family.

In an interview, the Roshans said,"Ever since the diagnosis, Rakeshji has been upbeat cheerful and not at all daunted by the setback. He went into surgery with his wife, brother (composer Rajesh Roshan), son Hrithik and daughter Sunaina by his side and the surgery went smoothly. He is expected home by the end of this week."
