Recently, Bollywood actor Nawazudin Siddiqui's upcoming film Thackeray, (based on the life of late Shiv Sena supremo Balasahab Thackeray) released its trailer, and we are totally amazed by its overall execution. However, the audience seemed to be disheartened with one specific thing in the Marathi trailer - the voice modulation.
While lead actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's voice has been used for his character for the Hindi version, Sachin Khedekar has dubbed the Marathi version of the movie.
Recent reports suggested renowned voice artist Chetan Shashital will re-dub the Marathi version of the movie.
During a media interaction, Shiv Sena MP and film producer, Sanjay Raut gave clarification on the voice used in the film. He said, "We are very satisfied with the voice of Khedekar.
In spite of this, he did not give a clear answer about whether Balasaheb's voice would be changed in the Marathi version. Also, he clearly said that the voice of the Nawazuddin remains in the Hindi version.
He also added, "We tried to keep Nawazuddin's voice in Marathi as well for which he even learnt the language. However, he lacked the intricacies used in the Marathi language, which was always there in Balasaheb's voice." "Now we are working on Marathi voice and the results will come out in the next two to three days," Raut said.
