Deepika Or Sonam, Who Wore The Ivory Embroidered AJSK Design Better?

Last night, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding shenanigans saw another of their style escapade.The newly married couple looked royalty personified, at their wedding reception in Mumbai. DeepVeer radiated pure magic as they dazzled on their reception night, exactly how they've been through their wedding extravaganza in Italy.

It was quite clear that Deepika and Ranveer decided to co-ordinate their outfits, for their Mumbai reception. We were totally betting on this style move by the couple. Both have been co-ordinating their outfits through all the functions, but this one stands to be a classic case of 'Style Twinning'.

So, while we were busy admiring the reception looks of Ranveer and Deepika, we had a sudden realisation that Sonam Kapoor too had chosen an ivory and gold chikankari ensemble from AJSK for her sangeet ceremony.

The new bride, Deepika chose an ivory and gold combination ensemble from couturier Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Her saree was replete with intricate chikankari embroidery. Chikankari, a famous Lucknowi thread embroidery, believed to have been introduced by Nur Jehan, wife of Mogul emperor Jahangir. How an Indian queen would, she chose to cover her head with a long embroidered drape. She accessorised her look with diamond studded chaand balees and a chunky choker.

DP was AJSK bride and Ranveer was a Rohit Bal groom. Ranveer wore a flared kurta, layered with an intricately embroidered jacket. DP like a true queen had a drape on her head, Ranveer had a stole wrapped around his hand.

Now, this seems to be an ultimate fashion face-off, doesn't it?
