A glimpse of the
story:
The story begins with some really gorgeous locations and
then moves on to develop its plot. The first half is very much interesting and
intriguing as compared to the second half. The movie is slow and you need
patience to sit through it. There are few twists and turns in the second half
that have managed to keep the audience glued to the seats. Somehow the
chemistry between our love birds, Aditya and Katrina has not been built well. The
moment you feel “Okay ab kuch hoga in dono k beech” the characters move apart
and the romance that had just started to brew goes off, leaving the audience in
a state of complete despair. In short crushing their expectation of sizzling
romance! The climax as well looks like a bit forced. Things have been abruptly
put together to bring an end to it!
About the Characters:
‘Fitoor’ is surely a game changer for Aditya Roy Kapur! The never seen look of Adi has come out so beautifully. You will be
surprized to realize that this guy who has been showcased as a loser drunkard
in all his movies till now; can actually take home the trophy with his strong
performance.
This time for a change you will get to see the true and
hidden talent of Aditya Roy Kapur!
Be it his subtle yet power packed dialogue delivery or his
intense obsession or merely his gaze; he will charm you in just one go. He has portrayed
both; the craziness and the pain of his character with great intensity.
To top it all is his ‘HOT’ body and killer looks won’t
let you take your eyes off the screens.
If there is no salt then there is no taste, no matter
how well you spice up your food, salt will still be the king to bring its
taste. And Tabu’s performance acts like the salt! She has yet again proved that,
no matter what, her selection of roles can never go wrong. And this time again
her stellar performance is something without which the movie would have surely
been incomplete.
Katrina Kaif: We must say; the red hairs have really worked
wonders to make Kat more gorgeous! No doubt she was pretty before too but now
she has turned into a damsel. There is improvement in her acting too. She has really
worked hard to give a better performance as compared to her previous flicks. and the results of her hard work are clearly visible.
Ajay Devgn was seen in a special appearance but was an important part of the twist that takes place in the second half of the story.
Lara Dutta too has a small screen time but still she has given her best in it.
Rahul Bhat plays a pivotal role and even after having less screen presence he has managed to pull of his character quiet well.
All in all:
Excluding the slow pace of the movie, if we look at the positive
points which include:
The heavenly beautiful locations, artistic scenery, subtle
yet powerful dialogues, intense love story (which could have been little better
if cinema liberty would have been explored); then the movie can be a good
weekend refreshment.
For those who believe in Love and also for those who do not
believe in love, ‘Fitoor’ is one such movie that needs to be explored because somewhere
your meaning of love will surely be recreated.
So all you love birds out there, 14th February is nearing and what could be better than watching this tale of love with your better half? So go out and grab those corner seats to enjoy Fitoor wala pyaar!
Ratings: Well, the movie is worth 3 stars but if we consider the surprise package put up by Aditya then it doesn't harm giving it more half star.
