"Sonchiriya jake san dhundh rahe hain...Jo kaaho ke haath nahi aani ki"
"Sonchiriya is what everyone is looking for Although it would never come in."
Manoj Bajpayee
Set against the backdrop of the emergency era, the film features a fictional narrative completely intense and overwhelmingly profound. It is a total synonym for perfection as it will be considered as one of the 'Bollywood Classic' for the years to come.
The film paints all shades of life, right from the struggle to experiencing the happiness which we always try to envision. It tends to have an impact on you even after you get out of the theatre. The constant transitions of the evil, the bad and the good are broken down very carefully and as you are being constantly fed with chunks of impeccable flawlessness.
The storyline repeatedly proves to be powerful as it keeps you on the edge of your seat. The script portrays substance to the right amount which is really necessary and not the tangled piece of crap. Thanks to the writers as they did not add a love angle which would ruin the whole structure of the film. The dialogues, the background score, and the setting of the film will allure you to another level.
It's great to see the actors donning a character's skin as Bhumi Pednekar and Sushant Singh Rajput have repeatedly proved themselves as the surreal duo for this film. The casting director has done a wonderful job picking up gems from the pile of stones. Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey, and Ashutosh Rana were completely bewitching. Even the background artists were precise as they never seemed to lose their grip over their characters.
The direction, the cinematography, and the excellent camera shots are totally breathtaking. Abhishek Chaubey has successfully mastered to deliver the art of silence in this film and which leaves you speechless.
In conclusion, no matter how hard you try true film buffs would never stop praising the film as it leaves a mark of ambiguous dialogues blended with surreal performances from the underestimated gems of Bollywood.
