Vir Das The super-comic with a 6-pack

Vir Das is a happy man. He has 6 movie releases lined up in the next 15 months, including 'Santa Banta', 'Amit Sahni Ki List' and 'Saxxx ki Dukaan', among others. Watching Vir Das' transition from a comedian to an actor, is impressive, to say the least. Not only does Vir have a string of stand up shows, across the world, to his credit, he has also made a mark for himself in Bollywood.

Vir Das is one of the very few actors today, who can boast of such a line-up of movies. When asked how he manages to keep his sanity intact while shuttling between projects, he says, "In my line of work, I need to stay insane. There's no fun in sanity. Everyone around us is so serious, that I have taken it upon myself to make sure insanity prevails. As for the projects I am working on, I am in a very happy place right now. I now have what I always wanted, and am doing what I love."

Being called 'India's only true comic' by a popular fashion and lifestyle magazine to 'India's Answer to Jay Leno' by an Indian daily newspaper, Vir has certainly come a long way, and looking at the string of releases lined up, one can safely say that he has paved a strong path for aspiring comedians to follow suit.
