December 17th marks the advent of not just one but two hot hunks in
B-Town. Our very own
John Abraham and
Riteish Deshmukh who last shared
screen together in the 2012 super hit,
Housefull 2 celebrate their birthday today.
The model turned actor,
John Abraham, turns 40 this year. John
commenced his career in the media department at Time & Space Media
Entertainment Promotions Ltd and Enterprise Nexus but soon with an ideal
physique fit for a

flourishing modeling career, he made it big by
winning the title of the Gladrags Manhunt in March, 1999 followed by the
1st runner up title of Gladrags Manhunt International held in
Philippines. Subsequently, his work for modeling agencies shot him to
fame, tagging him one of the most sought after and highest paid models
in India and also earning him entry to Bollywood, with his debut film,
Jism.
The movie helped him bag the nomination for best debut in Filmfare.
Life then on had a series of successes and failures for John but nothing
could hamper his determination to make it to the top and soon, in 2004,
he bagged an IIFA for best villain for his performance in the Yashraj
thriller,
Dhoom.
After proving his mettle in acting, John debuted as a producer in 2012 with the critically and commercially successful movie,
Vicky Donor.
John has also largely been in the limelight due to his long-term
relationship with model and actress, Bipasha Basu, and their astounding
break up in 2011. Presently, the actor is dating Priya Runchal, an NRI
financial analyst and investment banker from USA.
Sharing his birthday with John is Riteish who turns 33 and is renowned
for playing humorous characters in multi-starrer super-hits. Son of Late
Politician Vilashrao Deshmukh, and an architect by profession, acting
could have been a surprise for him. Fulfilling the dream of his father,
who wanted to become an actor himself, Riteish opened his acting career
with K. Vijaya Bhaskar's
Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003 opposite Genelia D'Souza. However, though he had to wait till 2004 for success to come by in
Masti, for which he won quite a few awards for best comedian!
Tujhe Meri Kasam, not only got him the Star Screen Award for best promising new comer, but also,
gave
him his most prized possession today -his wife, Genelia. Riteish and
Genelia D'Souza started dating ever since the release of their debut
film and after a long courtship of almost nine years, tied the knot on
the 3rd of February this year.
BollyCurry wishes John and Riteish a magnificent birthday and lots of success in the coming years.
