Eega (MAKKHI) is a 2012 Telugu romantic fantasy fictional film written and directed by S S Rajamouli. It stars Sudeep, Samantha and Nani in lead roles .M. M. Keeravani composed the film's music while K. K. Senthil Kumar and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao helmed cinematography and editing respectively.The film was simultaneously made in Tamil as Naan Ee
The state of the art Photo realistic animation and Visual effectswere supervised by Rahul Venugopal, Adel Adili and Pete Draper of Makuta effects. Telugu and Tamil versions with dubbed Malayalam version were released on July 6, 2012 with over 1200 prints. The film with 2,234 VFX shots, ultimately, received positive reviews in all the versions, and was declared a blockbuster.The film was screened to critical acclaim at L'trange Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. The film was subsequently dubbed into Malayalam as Eecha and Hindi as Makkhi. The film is set to be at the 10th Chennai International Film Festival.
