#GOSSIP: Because of Sridevi her daughter Janhavi FINALLY got this film

Reportedly, Sridevi's daughter Jahnavi Kapoor will be making her Bollywood debut in the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster film 'Sairat'. The remake will be helmed by Karan Johar.

As per an insider, Karan who had decided to launch Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughter Jahnavi Kapoor in the second installment of 'Student of the Year', is now doing the same with this film instead.

A close source has been quoted by a popular daily: "Sridevi callled up Karan Johar a few months ago and told him that she wanted him to launch her beti in as grand a manner as he had done with Alia Bhatt in 'Student of the Year'. Janhavi was to work in the sequel to SOTY, but the film got delayed. Now, KJo is keen to cast her as Archana Patil (played by Rinku Rajguru) in the Hindi remake. He has been meeting Sridevi and Janhavi regularly to get their feedback. Sridevi wants a more commercial launch for Janhavi, but they are working things out." (sic)
