Border -  The movie is an adaptation from real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala fought in Rajasthan, where a band of 120 soldiers defend their post all night until helped by the Air Force.



Sarfarosh - The film spoke of how the nexus of rotten elements within India and enemies across the border weakened and endangered us. A hard-hitting film, the movie began Aamir Khan's journey towards excellence in outer commercial cinema.



Chak De! India - Kabir Khan, a former hockey star, tainted as someone who betrayed his country, begins coaching the Indian women's national hockey team to prove his loyalty to the nation.



The Legend of Bhagat Singh - Born in British India, Bhagat Singh witnesses numerous atrocities during his childhood. He then grows up to become one of the most fearless freedom fighters in India.



Rang De Basanti - When Sue, the granddaughter of a British jailer, selects a few students to portray various Indian freedom fighters in her documentary film, she unwittingly awakens their patriotism. The emotional and mental process turns them into rebels for a cause.



LOC Kargil - The film delves into the lives of Indian defence personnel like Captain Vikram Batra, Subedar Yogendra Singh Yadav and Major Deepak Rampal who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War.



Mangal Pandey: The Rising - Mangal Pandey, a sepoy of Indian origin, fights against British rule and saves the life of his British commanding officer, leading to a strong friendship between the two.



Lakshya - Hrithik Roshan plays the role of Lieutenant Karan Shergill, who leads his team (initially 12, falling to 6 members) to victory over the Pakistani troops. It is a coming-of-age story with a fictionalized backdrop of the Kargil War.



Swades - The film has a vital message for highly-qualified Indians abroad to heed the call of their motherland and give it priority over money and success overseas. The movie garnered much critical accolades for its message.
