Happy Birthday Anushka Sharma!

Today, BollyCurry along with fans, celebrates the birthday of a beautiful and youthful star; one who is better known as Tanni Partner! You guessed it right! We're talking about none other than Anushka Sharma!

Anushka Sharma was born on 1^st May, 1988 to an army officer, Ajay Kumar Sharma, and Ashima Sharma, a housewife. She also has an elder brother, Karnesh, who is in the Merchant Navy. The gorgeous Sharma grew up in Bangalore where she graduated from Mount Carmel College. She then moved to Mumbai in order to pursue her modelling career.

Sharma initiated her career with a few modelling contracts and campaigns such as Nathella Jewellery and Fiat Palio. She debuted in Bollywood with the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) opposite the King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, as a simple girl who loves dancing. The Yash Raj film did extremely well at the Box Office and received positive reviews from critics and audience alike; her performance earned her a Guild Award for the Best Debutante Actress.

Sharma's acting was once again hugely appreciated for her performance in Badmaash Company, despite its failure at the Box Office. Band Baaja Baraat (2010), her next release, was a stupendous and surprise success, bringing her much recognition. Sharma's run in Bollywood then met with rocky terrain with movies Patiala House (2011) and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), the latter which reunited her with her Band Baaja Baraat team. Her role as a Discovery Channel reporter in Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), which had her working with SRK again alongside Katrina Kaif, continued to fetch her positive reviews from critics. She was last seen in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola in 2013.

Besides acting, the gorgeous star is trying her hand in production with her first film NH-10, which features herself in the lead role. The movie is speculated to release this year. Sharma will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's P.K. and Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet, both releasing at the end of 2014.

With regards to Sharma's personal life, the bubbly persona has often been linked with Ranveer Singh, but the duo have denied their relationship openly. Currently, she is said to be dating Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. Though both are yet to divulge their relationship status, they are often spotted together on various occasions, with the rumor mills buzzing that Kohli will be flying down to Rajasthan to spend time with the birthday girl.
