5th February marks the birthday of an actor who got a lot of his attributes from his father. Who are we talking about? Well none other than Abhishek Bachchan.

Born as Abhishek Amitabh Srivastav Bachchan to the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, and to one of the finest actress of Hindi Cinema, Jaya Bhaduri-Bachchan, he's the achiever of three Filmfare Awards, six Screen Awards, five IIFA Awards, four Stardust Awards, four Zee Cine Awards winner for his brilliant acting, a National Award winner as a producer and many many more awards.

As a child, Abhishek was dyslexic, which can be characterized and understood as a difficulty in learning to read despite normal and, sometimes above normal, intelligence. He attended Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, Modern School in Delhi, Aiglon College in Switzerland and Boston University in United States but dropped out to pursue his career in Bollywood.

Junior Bachchan joined the Bollywood Industry with Refugee in 2000 which didn't do well at the Box Office but his performance was appreciated by critics. He then appeared in several films such as Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000), Bas Itna Sa Khuab Hai (2001), Shararat (2002), which didn't do too well at the box office. His acting in films like Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003) and Yuva (2004) was hugely appreciated by critics and the audience.

Junior B's first commercially hit film was Dhoom (2004) where he played the role of a cop, ACP Jai Dixit. The following year he appeared in Bunty Aur Babli opposite Rani Mukherji and with his dad, Amitabh Bachchan. He went on to star in many hit movies such as Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008), Paa (2009), Bol Bachchan (2012), and Dhoom 3 (2013).

Paa (2009) was considered a one-of-a-kind film as he played the role of a father to his real life father who was seen as Auro, a child who is suffering from Progenia, a genetic disorder. Junior Bachchan not only acted in the movie, but also produced it under his company AB Corp. Ltd.

In this year, three of his movies are expected to release; Happy New YearMere Apne and Dostana 2.

Apart from his work in the film industry, Abhishek is also the brand ambassador for products like LG Home appliances, American Express credit cards, Videocon DTH, Motorola mobiles, Ford Fiesta and Idea mobiles. In 2009, he won the "Best Brand Ambassador of the Year" award.

On April 20, 2007 he married the former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, whom he fell in love with during the shooting of Dhoom 2. The couple has a daughter named Aaradhya, born on 16th November 2011 and known as "Beti B".

To celebrate his career thus far, here is a mini-playlist of some of his memorable hits:
