Two Generations come together

Ever wondered what it would be like to see a face-off between two generations, and that too between two generations of the prestigious Kapoor family? Director Imtiaz Ali's upcoming movie Rockstar has a surprise in store for the viewers! The movie will see the yester year heartthrob Shammi Kapoor with current heartthrob and nephew Ranbir Kapoor, jamming together! 

The concept is to show the difference between both the generations. While Shammi Kapoor will be seen playing a shehnai, Ranbir, who is very excited about this scene, will be shown rocking a guitar. Both will come together to create a fusion of classical and rock! To make it more believable, Ranbir went a step ahead and started taking guitar lessons since two months ago so that he can actually play the guitar when shooting for the scene. 

Everyone is aware of Shammi Kapoor and his health problems. However, even with going through dialysis at least three times a week,  he promised to find time to shoot for the scene. Even the cast and crew are being helpful and making sure all plans are made with keeping the veteran's health in mind. The scene means a lot to the Kapoor family and therefore the entire family will be present at the time of the shooting.

As he gets ready to come on-screen with his nephew, memories can't seem to keep away as Shammi Kapoor recalls how as a child Ranbir used to sing classical music to bug him, while he'd be playing the shehnai.
