Imran & Ranbir to rock 56th Filmfare Awards!

The 56th Filmfare Awards sponsored by cellular brand Idea was held at the Yashraj Studios in Mumbai on January 29th. One of the biggest, oldest and most prestigious award ceremonies that honors Indian cinema, Filmfare is a pedestal to acknowledge excellence in entertainment, while simultaneously presenting some full on power packed live on stage performances.

Living up to the standards of previous years, the 56th Idea sponsored awards this year were hosted by the much rooted for boy duo - Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan, in their second time as show hosts. The pair of them are said to have been at their spontaneous best, with a comic timing that left everyone from the audience in splits. Shown in our slide show is one of their many little spoofs, this one being 'inspired' from the 2010 release, Guzaarish.

The evening of this ceremony is all set to be telecast on Sony Television this coming weekend, the 6th of February. The most anticipated amongst all promised performances happens to be the one which brings back the magic of King Khan SRK and the enamoring Madhuri Dixit. The awards tally presents an equally interesting watch, with blockbusters like My Name Is Khan and Dabaang battling out for top titles, and critically acclaimed smaller ventures like Udaan sweeping the floor in majority categories.
