January 13th, 2011 marks a big day for two yummy stars of tinsel town. Chocolate boys Imran Khan and Ashmit Patel will take a step forward in their lives on this very day. Yes, January 13th marks Imran's and Ashmit's birthday!

A little peek into their lives...

Imran Khan
Born on January 13th, 1983, Imran was born as Imran Pal to Anil Pal and Nuzhat Khan. After his parent's separated, his surname was changed to Khan. He is also the nephew of the perfectionist, Aamir Khan.

Imran originally wanted to become a director before he became an actor where he simply blew everyone way with his impeccable performance in his debut, Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na (2008), produced by Aamir. The movie grabbed him his forst Filmfare award for Best Debut. But as many of you know, this wasn't the first time Imran was seen in movies. As a child artist, Immu made appearances in films Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander where both times he played the role of the young Aamir.

Imran went on to star in a couple more films; Kidnap and Luck, both which bombed at the BO however, his performance did not go without appreciation. It wasn't until I Hate Luv Storys and Break Ke Baad landed in his kitty that Immu started climbing the successfull ladder again.

Imran recently got married to his long time girlfriend, Avantika Malik on the 10th of January. The marriage was a private civil ceremony at Aamir place in Pali Hill and the happy couple are currently on their honeymoon in the beautiful locations of Thailand.

Born to Amit and Asha Patel on January 13th, 1978, Ashmit's name derives from his parents' name; the first three are of his mother's whilst the last three are from his father's. Ashmit is the also the younger brother of well known actress, Ameesha Patel.

Having studied at Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, Ashmit  went on to the University of Texas, in the US and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He went on to work for his father until the acting bug bit him like it had his sister.

However, unlike most stars of Bollywood, Ashmit did not start off with modelling, he started with becoming an assistant director. He worked with director Vikram Bhatt in films: Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, Awaara Paagal Deewana, Raaz and Footpath. His very first break came when he was offered a role in the very director's film, Inteha (2003). He then featured in Murder (2004), a Bollywood inspiration of Unfaithful which also featured Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat and became Ashmit's first taste of success.

2005 however, was not so good for Patel as both his films Nazar and Silsilay were unsuccessfull which lead him to play supporting roles for movies Dil Diya Hai, Banaras and Fight Club which released in 2006. With 2007 came yet another release but this time in the form of a comedy, Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana which gave him the chance to act with Mahima Chaudhary and Rekha. The last we saw of Ashmit was in the recently wrapped up, Big Boss 4 where he left as the third finalist.

BollyCurry wishes both the chocolate boys a very happy birthday and all the best in the future.
