The Golmaal of Disco Dancing!

Quite recently, BC reported that Sajid Nadiadwala landed in hot water courtesy his use of 'Apni To Jaise Taise' number from Prakash Mehra's 70's blockbuster Laawaris, in his (Sajid's) upcoming multi-starrer Housefull.


Sajid's legal trouble has apparently been a lesson imbibed by Rohit Shetty, who was quick on the uptake! Sources claim that the Golmaal 3 director has decided to rope in veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty to do his famous 'I am a Disco Dancer' routine in the upcoming movie, a third in the Golmaal series.


To avoid any copyright issues, Shetty and the Golmaal producers, Ashtavinayak, are currently undergoing the process to secure the rights to this number.


Released in 1982, B. Subhash's iconic Disco Dancer was an instant hit with the audience.  Whilst the song of the same name was composed by Bappi Lahiri at the time, today's version is likely to be crooned by Sudesh Bhonsle, if Rohit Shetty is given the green light.
