Spotted: Celebs Around Town

This fashion world is an amusing place where trends are either set or broken. Trying to choose the perfect outfit for a specialized event with the aim to make heads turn is something Bollywood celebrities know like the back of their hands. With this in mind, the Fashion Police takes a look at some of the garments that caught our eye over the last week.

Alia Bhatt

Twenty-one year old trendsetter, Alia Bhatt was caught under our scanner not once but twice this week. Her dual appearance in this feature is no surprise as Ms. Bhatt has been busy rigorously promoting her new movie, 2 States. Bhatt wore the first look, the turquoise Pankaj and Nidhi dress featuring black and white print, to a promotion event in Delhi. The mini was paired with black Louboutin t-strap heels. She looked good but we would have preferred her to wear her hair up and away from her face and the busy print. Bhatt wore her second look, the turquoise crimped sheath dress at a promotion event in Mumbai. She completed her look with a pair of iridescent strappy heels by Zara. The color of the dress looked gorgeous on the young actress. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut, who has been on a fashion high as of late, was seen in a silk Gucci dress while promoting her movie Revolver Rani in Delhi. The sleeveless dark orange dress featured a high neck and fell right below the knee. Ranaut paired the dress with a statement turquoise and orange leather belt by Gucci, which gave the outfit a nice pop. She wore her curly locks up in a bun, with a Gucci leather clutch in orange and a nude pumps completing accompanying her outfit. Ranaut looked fresh, but we aren't too fond of the clutch. While it's beautiful on its own, it was just too much orange in one outfit. BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5

Deepika Padukone

The seventh edition of the Indian Premier League kick-off in Abu Dhabi took place last week in presence of celebs and cricketers. The alluring Deepika Padukone was spotted at the gala dinner for the event looking radiant in a Manish Malhotra saree. The beige colored sheersaree, which featured silver sequin detail on the border, was paired with a simple sleeveless blouse. A pair of silver chandelier earrings was just the perfect amount of accessories to go with this sparkly number. Padukone's signature hairdo and red lips completed her look. Padukone looked stunning, clearly one of the best dressed of the week. However, we've seen too many versions of this saree to remain excited by its beauty. BolyCurry Rating: 4/5

Nargis Fakhri

Another celeb donning orange this week was Nargis Fakhri at ChatOn launch event in Delhi. The sleeveless high-neck Carven faux wrap dress featured a contrast peter pan collar and loose pleating on the sides at the waist. Nude strappy heels, a pair of Curio Cottage dangling earrings, and a chic ponytail completed her outfit. This was quite a bold move by Fakhri. While the dress itself was a bit tricky and looked snug on the actress' slim frame in some areas, she looked cute. BollyCurry Rating: 3/5

Amrita Rao

The talented but invisible Amrita Rao was seen at a Mayyur Girotra's store opening event wearing a gold and coral dress by the designer. The sleeveless, knee length frock featured gold embroidery waist up and pleating in the skirt. A chic braided up-do and nude make-up completed her look; pink on the lips was just perfect. The heavy embroidery was a bit overwhelming on the petite actress, and we weren't fond of the color of her shoes but nonetheless she looked great! BollyCurry Rating: 4/5
