No, I am not because I have tried pranking people but I just fail all the time. It falls back on me so I don't try in that area. Best prank? Of all which have once flopped, I had tried calling people saying something stupid has happened and then they have understood that it's a prank and they are like don't fool around. I don't try (anymore) because it really falls back on me.
2. If you were invisible on April Fool's Day, what would you do?
I will just go to people and probably...whoever is playing a prank on someone else...I'll go and spoil the whole surprise. I'll open the prank up and because I am invisible no one can see me. I'll just whisper in their ears that you are going to get 'April-fooled' today for this reason. So I'll just spoil it.
3. Have you ever gotten into a fight over an april fools joke?
Yea, kind of. I got into a fight with my sister because we tried something...I don't remember exactly because we were kids then...around 13-14 years old...and then she was saying that I fooled you and I was telling her 'no, I fooled you'. So we were fighting over who fooled who. It was a very stupid fight.
4. Would you make April Fool's Day a national holiday?
I think I would love to do that but....wait, no, I don't think so actually. Everyone loves holidays but if you go to the office, or college, or someplace else then it's always nice to fool people. There are a lot of chances of fooling people when they are working.

It depends as I am very moody. But yes, I was a very naughty child. Best prank...umm...there have been quite a lot. I don't remember them because I forget them soon after I do them.

(after thinking about it for a long time) I don't have any idea as to what I would do. There is quite a lot that I can do.

No, not at all. I am quite a sport and take jokes very well.

That way I think every day should be an April fool's day as people pull off so many pranks each day. So, no I don't think it should be a national holiday.

Well, yes as long as the prank does not hurt someone emotionally. Best prank? I just keep thinking of pranks but I am the one people have played pranks on.

Never thought about that. There are many things I would want to do like tease a lot of my friends.

Never. A majority of the people don't have the courage to play a prank on me and the ones who do are friends...and obviously friends are the ones who know what would really get you mad.

I think fools can take a break any time they want so there is no need to make it.

Absolutely not! I am very, very serious (unlike on-screen).

Never. I kind of like to crack jokes and take them pretty well when they are cracked at me unless, of course, it crosses the limit.

No, I think we have enough bank holidays in India...actually the most in the world. So I don't think we need any more.

No, not really because I am usually the victim. I am usually the butt of jokes so I am more of a victim than a prankster. Best prank?....I am awful at pranks...I actually did one one time. We kind of made a friend of mine believe that he was not wearing any pants because we kind of decided that when he comes to us...we will just go like 'Oh dude! What's wrong with you? How could you come out like that?' We all reacted like that that night. So he got all confused and ended up believing something's wrong...and he's not wearing any pants.
2. If you were invisible on April Fool's Day, what would you do?
hmm...well, for starters I would go and try to sneak my BCom papers. I am giving my exams right now. They are absolutely killing me so I would try to get my hands on those papers.

Nah, I am quite sporting so I take pranks very well. Even if it was a really serious prank someone played I wouldn't really take anything seriously.

I am a prankster only with my closest friends. The best prank? Uh...I think we have gone out for a shoot and I made very good friends with a lot of people. So on the last day we had a very spooky and airy conversation in the middle of the forest. So I think all night I traumatized the whole unit. I was crashing the door and making noises outside the door and running away. The next morning everyone had a good laugh about it but that night nobody slept.
2. If you were invisible on April Fool's Day, what would you do?
That's a very evil thing for me to have. I think I would be the devil and do everything that I can't do a people won't be able to see me.

No, I have a good sense of humour and I can laugh at myself. I have had people who have ripped off my torn jeans outside club. I was wearing torn jeans and these people came up. So there were 4 people who held me and 2 people who were ripping off my jeans. So I was standing in shreds. So I can take anything.
4. Would you make April Fool's Day a national holiday?
No, I think we waste a lot of days giving holidays. I think we have enough holidays in India.
On a more serious note, he added that 'I'd really like our politicians to bring back all of our Indian economy's money from the Swiss accounts. They have fooled us enough.'

Purab claims that 'No, I am not really a prankster. As for best prank, I don't think I have ever pulled off an April Fool's day prank on anybody'. But according to Purab's wife, Yamini, Purab pulls off a prank on her each day.
Purab (to Yamini): What is the prank I pulled off today?
Yamini: You pretended that you broke my new, fancy facewash. (Purab laughs)
Purab: My wife had bought a really fancy facewash yesterday, in a fancy glass jar. And I pretended I broke it this morning. (Laughs). So I guess I am a prankster. I didn't look at myself as one.
Yamini: He does ridiculous stuff. He calls up people and puts on this Parsi accent. He pretends that he is an old, Parsi man. The other day he called up my mother and said that her dog had shat in his garden. And my mother kept saying I am so sorry. She was feeling so bad. And then he said 'no no, don't be sorry. I am just calling because I'd like to return the potty back to you'. He does ridiculous stuff. Every day he fools somebody. I think it comes to him naturally. He doesn't even realize he is doing it. He even fools his mother by pretending that he is out of town when he is not and then he surprises people. He even fools the dog. He pretends he is eating something and calls them, they come running and then he gives them nothing.
2. If you were invisible on April Fool's Day, what would you do?
The only thing that comes to mind about being invisible is being able to travel across any border in this world without being noticed. It's always being the thing I have had in the back of my mind that if I was invisible I would cross into so and so country. And it's always been countries where there has been a lot of tension and where people can't go right now. Like right now I would really like to be in the mountains of Pakistan. There is so much trouble in the country and you see it on the news. In the footage you see the landscape which is so beautiful. I think like 'wow! People are busy fighting over there and look how pretty is there'.
3. Have you ever gotten into a fight over an april fools joke?
Yamini: Sometimes he does stuff which I don't find funny. Once I had an argument with a friend in a text message. And as a prank thing he replied for me to one of those text. He said something really dramatic which he found really funny because it was something really over-the-top dramatic. And then that person got really confused. She couldn't believe that I was reacting like that as she didn't know that it wasn't me. Then I got really pissed off at him. Later on, we all found it funny. He was trying to kill the tension by saying something really filmy and dramatic as a response.
Every day he does something like this and what's irritating is that I fall for it every time.
4. Would you make April Fool's Day a national holiday?
No, not really. I think April Fool's Day is really a day to get caught because everybody knows that you are playing a prank so if you make it a national holiday and give it so much importance then....I think April Fool's Day is one day you shouldn't okay a prank on anybody.
When asked if someone had played a prank on him, "There was this friend of mine, he put on a plaster for the whole day and everybody thought he had broken his leg, so did I. And then he walked out without the plaster. So he got me. He gave us a story of how he fell in the bathroom, was rushed to so and so hospital and the doctor put on the cast. Plus, no one realized it was the first of April.
As for tomorrow, I have no pranks planned. I hope no one pranks me!
