With energy so infectious, and an undying charm, Ranveer Singh never ceases to impress us. In a chat with India-forums.com, Ranveer Singh speaks about Kill Dill and everything that keeps him going forward.

What did you find special about Kill Dil?

There is nothing that is unwarranted for in the movie. The beautiful part of the movie is that everything has a reason; nothing is for the sake of it. It's a film that you will stay with the character throughout. The film is pacey and much focused. Kill Dil is fat free entertainment. All the extra masala is just chopped off. Which is a very attractive part of the movie.

What was your first reaction after you watched the film?

I was very emotional, because it was like a dream come true that Shaad Ali directing, Yashraj producing and me acting. It was like a dream come true for me. I used to day dream about it when I was teenager (Laughs). Shaad Ali was directing after 7 years and all this was coming together, made me very emotional. I was also mind blown by some of the performances, especially Govinda. If there 50 reasons to watch Kill Dill, all the 49 will be on one side and Govinda will be on the other side, that's how brilliant he is in the film.

How was it working with Govinda?

It was awesome! He has a menace. His expression, his skill all is so much fun. He is probably the biggest asset to the movie. He is a master class in himself.

We know you are a huge fan of Govinda, were you upset that you didn't get to dance with him in 'bol beliya'?

I was damn upset. The thing is when loud music is played I can't stand still; otherwise also I can't stand still (laughs), so I was damn upset. People who know me since my childhood said, 'one thing we expected was a full on dance number between Govinda & you, but it's not there.' Because everyone knows such a huge fan I am of his. Which if you see is a plus point; there is nothing in the film that is for the sake of it. There is no reason for Govinda and me dancing together in the film so it is not there, though I am still upset. (Laughs)

Is there any particular incident that you fondly remember, during the shoot?

There was this one scene we knew is going to be incredible and that is best scene in the movie for me. It was a eight minute monologue by Govinda. He gets his dialogues, processes it and then bam, when he comes on the set he keeps going for eight minutes straight and we were all flabbergasted to what he had just done. That scene should be taught at acting schools I feel. I remember he did the first take and when Shaad called for cut, the entire cast & crew invaded the set and there were applauds and hugs and tears. He just raged it in that scene.

Is there any other actor you want to work with for a long time?

Amitabh Bachchan. That guy is too cool for school (laughs). I have had the privelage of working with Amil Kapoor & Govinda, so if I can complete the tri-effect with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, it would be nothing like it. I would love to act with him.

We wish Ranveer Singh all the very best for Kill Dill, and May your crazy energy help you rise leaps and bounds in your career.
