Farhan Akhtar's 'Milkha' look revealed!

Farhaan Akhtar firmly believes in getting things perfect by wholly dedicating his mind, soul and body to work, and how! Recently, the actor-cum-director underwent a rigorous regimen of physical exercise to get the looks of legendary athlete Milkha Singh for his first biopic, Rakeysh Mehra's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag written by Prasoon Joshi. We, at Bollycurry, bring you the first look of Farhan's new avatar.

Apparently, Farhaan was initially apprehensive to take up this role, but Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra managed to convince him, and after catching a glimpse of Farhan a la Milkha Singh, we must say, the actor does seem to have been the perfect choice! A pagh tied loosely on his head, an uneven beard, an athletic built along with the strained expression on his face reeking of concentration and seriousness - Farhan pulls off the look flawlessly.

However, the transformation hasn't been easy for him, reveal insiders. Farhan spent almost a year and a half studying, preparing and getting trained for this role. He went through old videos and pictures and even consulted Milkha's trainer Havaldar Gurdev Singh to get the body language exactly like that of The Flying Sikh. He was so dedicated that he didn't miss even a single day of his workout routine when the whole unit was shooting in Firozpur, Punjab.

Bollycurry wishes the mirror-image of Milkha Singh luck for his upcoming movie. Here's hoping that the hard work and dedication translates to 'a spectacular run' at the box office.
