Sonam Kapoor is one bold actress who doesn't take a step back from speaking her heart out and in many instances, she has proved it too that she fears none. With her last film 'Veere Di Wedding' she has cleared time and again how she is a firm feminist.

Sonam has always stood by injustice and discrimination, so it was but natural for the actress to speak on the on-going and widespread #MeToo Movement. The actress has penned down a powerful note about the same which each one of us must read. She majorly wrote about how this movement must be celebrated rather than looked down upon.

Sonam wrote for Thrive Global and also posted on her Instagram profile that #MeToo movement is the most needed movement at this moment and in the current scenario. The Headline of her column read, "We Shouldn't Be Quiet Because We Fear Hurting Someone". Sonam posted:

Once again making her point clear on Sexism, she wrote in her column, "As Indians, we tend to laugh at inappropriate jokes out of politeness. It's not funny, it has never been funny. Roasts, for example, are not funny. It's not okay to make sexist, homophobic, racist jokes in an environment which is rife with sexism and discrimination".

Recently, the actress was caught in a controversy when she pointed Kangana Ranaut on her #MeToo story and made a remark which didn't go down well with Kangana. Sonam had said, "I think Kangana wrote something. Kangana is obviously Kangana Ranaut. She says a lot of stuff and sometimes is hard to take her seriously. I love the fact that she has spunk and she says what she believes. I really respect for that".

To this statement, Kangana had said, "Who is Sonam to judge my story?"
